For geography, I'm thinking of simply reading different fictional books and then collecting more information about the locations through maps, encyclopedias and the like. Maybe a map skills book or internet geography games. The only problem with this approach in the past has been a sort of scattering -- maybe that's not a problem since we are being more structured with some of the other classes.
If I had him make a geography notebook.....
