Mater Amabilis recommends reading through one Gospel per year alongside of Schuster's Bible History. In addition, there are those sites above for following the Scripture readings.
I found this old Bible History for Catholic Schools -- a download from Google Books. It may be for a slighter younger child than the Schuster.
